Meet the Founder – Anil Pandey
Anil Pandey, born May 19, 1964, is an American Nepalese entrepreneur, actor, journalist, and philanthropist. He is the founder of Motherland Nepal, a San Francisco-based non-profit established in 2005 to preserve Nepalese culture and support the Nepalese community in the Bay Area. Pandey is also the owner of Mr. Pickle’s Sandwich Shop and the CEO of M&M Thread Salon.
As the Public Relations Representative for the Nepal Tourism Board in the San Francisco Bay Area, he promotes Nepalese heritage. Known for his philanthropy, he has made significant contributions, including a $25,000 donation to the Nepali Community Centre in 2016 and support for victims of the 2015 Nepal earthquake. Pandey began his acting career in high school and continues to engage in cultural initiatives, such as organizing events to honor community leaders. He resides in San Francisco with his son, Melvin.

“I was pleasantly surprised how professional and courteous the staff was. I went in without appointment and there were 3 people in front of me, but I barely waited 20 mins. I thought they would do a mediocre job given how promptly they were moving, but to my greatest surprise, it was one of the best eyebrow threading/shaping I’ve ever had. They really know what they’re doing! I HIGHLY recommend going here if you’re in the area. They’re quick, polite, accurate and friendly!”
